Yesterday, I reproduced an sms from Jeff in which he did a compare and contrast of MJ and JC.
An article in today's papers says that the irony is that MJ is worth more by his dying than his staying alive! He was saddled with debts that would have taken years to pay. But now that he is no more, the value of his music has suddenly multiplied in value.
As I pondered upon this, I realise that holds true of our Lord Jesus Christ, and all the more so. When Jesus physically walked on earth, His ministry was primarily to the Jews. Yes, the occasional Gentile like the Samaritan woman at the well, or the Roman centurion's servant, or the Syrophoenician woman whose daughter was demon-possessed would be recipients of His blessings, but He was sent to His own fellow Jews. His ministry then was limited, so to speak.
It was only upon His death at the cross, that much more was accomplished. The New Covenant was established. The temple veil was torn in two. Our sins were forgiven once and for all. The Holy Spirit is made available to every believer and we are now considered sons and daughters of the Most High God.
Indeed, the irony is that Jesus' death has brought about much more value to mankind than if He had remained in heaven or while He physically walked the earth as a mortal man. God has achieved much more by redemption that He has ever done by redemption. Hallelujah!

dude, you have forgotten the church bloody history based on a doctrine of the shallow interpretation of christ death
the traditional view of christ death has brought wars and judgment on mankind even today, NOT GRACE( you guys have been preaching a false grace).
but of course, you and your kind will deny history and facts.
One thing that MJ definitely loses out to JC is that JC did not just bring more value through his death; in fact he added even more value on top of that by defeating death through his resurrection!
"He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification." Rom 4:25
mal,
read the link and the exchange.

that's generally the kind of aggressive respond or intolerance you get from christians(btw, this example is mild. there are thousands of such "aggression or hypocrisy out there i am sure, some you are familiar)
take a good look at his blog. this chap is no green horn to the faith.
i don't see any difference between a christian and the iranians or the talebans.
they all share the SAME religous spirit of ..MURDER or cause of violence in the world.
nothing good comes out of your kind of teachings except...self indulgence.
your entire blog is just that...self indulgence - howbeit in the name of god!
just in case he( so call christian of grace) erase his HATE speech, i post it here.
btw, as if i needed his platform to say what i have to say?
pls.
you just prove my pt!
Dude,
You’re the one who is deceived. First, you’re going against centuries of established Christian orthodoxy. Second, you need a serious lesson in how to read. There is such a thing as context. It’s where the meaning of a word or sentence is derived from the surrounding words or sentences. Romans 7 doesn’t teach atonement because that is not the point of the passage. You and your whacko teachers are tearing that passage out of its context and twisting it to serve your own perverse needs. Paul is presenting an argument for sanctification in Romans 6-8, and you’re twisting a portion of it for some other reason; you need some basic lessons in reading comprehension.
However, if you’re interested in seeing a passage in which the atonement is mentioned, try Romans 3:21-30. Paul mentions that Jesus was offered up as a propitiation for our sins. A propitiation means a sacrifice of appeasement to God to avert his wrath.
I could cite a dozen more NT passages that talk about substitutionary atonement, but I’ve wasted enough time with you that I can’t get back. Don’t bother replying back as all further comments of your will be deleted. You are not interested in dialogue, but in peddling false doctrine; and I will no longer provide you a platform for that.
what's up botak? what's your excuse now :)
Hi a-non
your writings are filled with hatred & bitterness, you need help.
are you suffering from brittle bones? cos i think a very wise man once said that bitterness would cause brittle bones.
it seems that being a-non allows one to write irresponsibly, I should also remain a-non ... same level of communication mah.
a-non, you got some fanciful nick names we can address you? since you like addressing botug as botak ...
how about an elijah challenge?
you gather your leaders and the rests of your kind, we get the press and the authorities .... lets see who will back out? :)
why focus on the speck, when you can look at the wider picture? I assure you that not all Christians are like this... And those that are do not truly represent us, for our message is love.
Please dont lump us all under 1 category, not only is it unfair, but misleads others should they be newbies... I suggest ignoring the ones who have no wisdom in their posts, and those that are simply trying to stir up trouble =)
U know MJ turned away from Christianity into all sorts of things and I think he was into Judaism around the end (Stan and an article I read confirms this i think).
So he did not have the revelation that Christ was bruised for his iniquities, striped so that he would be whole and in health... He had no revelation that he could soar on eagle's wings in Christ.
Was watching an interview and they said that they found on MJ's body during autopsy bruises, abrasions and he had some stripes of bruies on his back that was prob result of falls from his drugged state.
He also had injection punctured wounds on his heart.
He wanted to love and be loved so much, but his heart could only tahan so much of the world. Truly, only the unconditional love of Jesus can fill the God-sized void within us. Amen?
Wah lau... reading the Anon stuff now. Hmm...
If you truly want to rant and scream, pls start a blog and do it. =)
As for Malcolm's blog, it is his personal space to share his thoughts, his encouragement.
Anyway, we've seen enough insulting anons to know that at the end of the day, we walk by grace.
Wait.. does that mean that MJ did receive Christ before? If so, then hallelujah... we can see his voice put to good use in worship!
Hi Mal,
The guy vandalizing my cbox is the same one from a while ago ... the one running linux OS, firefox2, screen resolution 800x480.
I'm going to ignore him as well as the anons commenting on your blog. I've learnt from the mouse episode a few months ago that they are not worth my attention.
Andrew Wommack said something like this: "I'm not going to let them rent space on my mind. They're nobody to me." ;-)
Psalm 34:12-14
Who is the man who desires life,
And loves many days, that he may see good?
Keep your tongue from evil,
And your lips from speaking deceit.
Depart from evil and do good;
Seek peace and pursue it.
At the end of the day, our lives will be a living testimony of His grace, faithfulness and love.
Mal, seems like the PLMC saga has not really ended. While driving past, I saw vandalism underneath the Serangoon flyover opposite PLMC. Though sprayed over with white paint, could still make out one of the word "PIG" ... but the word plmc was not sprayed over. unbelievers would not bother to be so childish. Yet if the fellow is a "believer" then it's really strange behavior!
A-non and all the funny userids in your blog and stanley's blog may well be the same few people, or the same person.
Lots of bitterness, and before he or she or they know it, bitterness would swallow up the whole lot!
Is there a season to such unnatural behavior?
Peace, bro.
