About a month ago, my daughter asked me whether she could attend the Hillsong United concert that was to be held at the Max Pavilion, Singapore Expo.
I did a Google search and discovered that tickets were only sold at New Creation Church's Youth Service.
Hillsong Church and New Creation Church have recently developed a symbiotic relationship. Brian Houston invited Ps Prince to speak at the Hillsong Conferences held in Sydney in 2006 and also in London in 2007. New Creation has reciprocated by inviting Hillsong United to perform at their annual The Zone youth concert for 2008.
I had wanted to attend the concert with my wife and kids, but alas all the tickets were sold out. Thankfully, a fellow church member (who happens to also be a cell leader, so his identity has to be protected for obvious reasons) managed to get an extra ticket, which he kindly offered to my daughter. And so, she attended the concert together with his entire family.
At about 6.30pm today, I received the following sms from her "lol. there's a pastor prince cd in the goodie bag". Later after the concert, she showed me the goodie bag, a picture of which is shown on the right.
She also told me that Ps Benjamin Lim Chin Wah, the youth pastor was the main speaker that night and he spoke mightily about "God's undeserved favour" :-)
My one regret (if I can call it that) is that I was not exposed to the true and unadulterated gospel as a child and youth, so I am glad that God has facilitated this decent exposure for my daughter (and the thousands of other youths at the concert) during their formative age. May this truth about being the Benjamin Generation of the Lord take root in her life so that she grows up on the firm foundation of what Jesus' finished work on the cross has already accomplished for her. Amen?

Just an additional note on the outcome of holding the Zone youth concert - 85 salvation and 96 re-dedication. This is what the concert is about - getting to know Him and His undeserved favour (aka GRACE). Youths nowadays need this message badly...
FYI, PP is having one of his messages dubbed in JAPANESE. He's going to reach out the youths in and from Japan with this Good News...
Let's continue to pray that more and more youths will be transformed by this wonderful message...

I used to be a cell leader but was asked to step down because of my embracing of the grace message.
Other cell leaders who share similar convictions have to do so quietly, lest similar action be taken against them.
