As a boy growing up in Sunday School, I remember singing a catchy tune entitled "Is He Satisfied?" and even enjoying it.
Do you ever search your heart
As you watch the day depart?
Is there something way down deep
You try to hide?
If this should be the end
And eternity began
When the Book is opened wide,
Would the Lord be satisfied?
Is He satisfied? Is He satisfied?
Is He satisfied with me?
Have I done my best, have I stood the test?
Is He satisfied with me?
When He walks and talks with men
What if every friend He had were just like me?
Would He feel a welcome here
Or would He go away in tears?
Am I all that I should be?
Is He satisfied with me?
Feeble is the lamp of fame

Now having understood the grace gospel, I realise that as noble as the lyrics may be, it is actually an insult to sing it because it is self-occupied rather than Christ-occupied.
Notice that the author makes no reference to the cross.
The question should not be "Is He satisfied with me?" but rather "Is God satisfied with Christ?". And the answer to that would be a resounding yes. Those of us who are "in Christ" need only to rest in His finished work. Amen?

Yes bro.In Christ,not only is there no condemnation but God is satisfied and we are well pleasing to Him.
In the old covenant it talks about we loving God with all our self effort.Deu 6:5
In the new covenant it talks about God loving us and through us.2 Cor 5:14,1 Jn 4:9-11,19
We love God and others because He first loved us !
There is no law for the believer to fulfill.Christ has fufilled the law at the cross!
And He is the propitiation(God's anger was satisfied) for our sins and the whole world.1 Jn 2:2

There is something we need to do - keep believing in Christ (Jn 6:28-29) and His finished work. Right believing leads to right living! As we look to Him (His Word), He will give us the faith to take the next step of LIFE.
AMEN! I was laughing as I read the lyrics to the song =) If I am not wrong, Pastor Prince mentioned this song once in an older sermon. Hehe.
I have caught myself on several occassions singing older hymns I learned in Catholic church and realizing the lyrics are SALAH! =D
2 myths about the gospel of grace is that it gives license to sin and cause people to be inactive.
Rom 6:14 says that sin shall not have dominion over you because you are under grace not law.(10 commandments)
1 Cor 15:10 Paul said he laboured more abundantly than the rest of the apostles by the grace of God.
In fact the grace and love of God is the motivating factor for believers not his judgements.Ps 130:4,1 Jn 4:18,2 Cor 5:14,Rom 2:4

God loves us so much, so that we can live a life that reciprocates His love (We love, because HE first loved us - 1 John 4:19 NASB).
A life that reciprocates God's love will surely glorify God.

Why do we say "NO" to ungodliness ?Because it says in 1Peter 1:13-16
13Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. 14As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."
How do we love others as Christ first loved us ? It is easily done by lips and keyboard. How about consider this illustration in 1 Peter 2:1
1Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.

Not so, in fact it is very easy to spew out anger and hatred through lips and nowadays in the internet age via keyboard, often anonymously.
This hymn is taken from Jesus parable in Matthew 25:31-46.
