Two years ago on 20th December 2007, I blogged about how my darling wifey had organised a surprise 40th birthday party for me. I remember mentioning to the guests how grateful I was and that I would probably have to arrange something similar when she turned likewise in 2009.
Well, she will be so on Teacher's Day, and so about a month back, preparations in earnest began for the reciprocal arrangement.
Thanks to Facebook, I got connected to her childhood friends from Katong Convent (which my daughter refers to as her BFFs, ie. best friends forever) to tell them about the surprise party. Also on the guest list were those who were present at my 40th birthday party.
I ordered a photo album from Shutterfly for her, which thankfully, arrived four days ago :-)
I also put together a video montage of her from a baby until today.
She had specially requested a cake from Jane's Cake Station, which I picked up sometime this afternoon.
We started off with a time of worship, then followed by some quiz questions about my wifey that my kids came up with. Then the above video montage was shown to the guests.
Before partaking of the food, my dad prayed a blessing over my wifey and for the food. Finally, the cake was cut at about 8:15pm.
Here are photos that were taken to commemorate the event:
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=101892&id=751059341&l=ea58df424a
Truth be told, I have a confession to make: I allowed my heart to be troubled over 2 matters.
Firstly, the photo album was supposed to arrive between 17 and 23 Aug 09. When it didn't by 24 Aug 09, I panicked and sent an email to their customer service officer. I was told that it probably got lost in transit and that they will ship another one at no extra cost. This was however not a solution because re-shipping would mean it would arrive late. Thankfully, the parcel arrived two days later.
Secondly, the food was supposed to arrive at 5:30pm but the caterers lost their way. Again, I panicked and thankfully, there was a handphone number displayed on their website. I had to give them directions over the phone and they finally arrived at 6:35pm.
Looking back, I realised that I had taken my eyes off Jesus and focused instead on the "storm". I felt the Lord gently rebuking me, "Son, oh you of little faith..."
Yep, I've embraced the grace message for more than 4 years already and yet still get tripped up every now and then. Thanks be to God that there is now no more condemnation in Christ Jesus :-)
Thank you Lord Jesus for blessing me with the most beautiful girl on planet earth and your faithfulness to her all these 40 years. May you bless her with many more years to come! Amen?
Sowing Again into Fertile Soil
Saturday, 29th August 2009
I have mentioned before that I am keeping a library of anointed resources from Joseph Prince Resources made up of MP3 sermons, CD sermons, DVD sermons and books.
The MP3 sermons are from the years 2001 and 2002, while the CD sermons are from 2003 to date.

A few days ago, I was checking out the Destined to Reign online store and discovered that all his 74 sermons from the year 2003 are now also made available in MP3 format.
Although I already have these sermons in CD format, I have had to convert them into MP3 format in order to listen to them on my 32GB Creative Zen X-Fi.
So I decided to save the effort and get them anyway.
Besides, just the privilege of being able to sow again into fertile soil alone was good enough a reason, no?
Which now leaves me wondering what I should do with the 74 CD sermons. One option is to pass them to Stan to leave them at his stall to give them away to whosoever the Lord divinely appoints to visit his stall. Among the sermons are Stan's favourite "The Significance of the Cross" (28 Dec 03) and my favourite "In Christ, All of God's Promises are Yes and Amen" (1 Aug 2003). What do you guys think?
Afternote: A sister has suggested that I advertise this giveaway on JPM's FB, which I have just done. Thanks Angela :-)

Those of you out there who consider yourselves to be practicing Methodists, please do not read on lest this stumbles you...
I have a serious confession to make. I visit the Singapore Pools outlet every now and then to place a wager on Aston Villa, my favourite soccer team. Once in a while, I do also buy 4D and Toto (I bought 7557 when I got my new X5 last December and also bought the $288 Prosperity Pack during the recent Lunar New Year).
I do not want to be a hypocrite about this, pretending to be a goody-two-shoes on the surface. But before anyone out there casts the first stone, I suggest you standby a few hundred more because I know of many fellow Methodist church-going people who either visit such outlets on the sly, or get their friends and relatives to buy on their behalf.

Anyway, four days ago, I happened to pass by the outlet that is located near my office and was prompted to step in to see what the odds for the game between Liverpool and Aston Villa was. After all, Villa had lost their first game 2-0 at home to Wigan, while Liverpool had just thrashed Stoke 4-0. This same fixture between the two sides last season ended with Villa being thrashed 5-0.
Well, as it turned out, the odds for a Villa win was at a fantastic 9.80! In other words, for every $1 wagered, a return of $9.80 would take place if Villa beat Liverpool. Since the payout was so good, I decided that just for the fun of it, I would place a bet of $10 and even uploaded a photo of the betting slip onto Facebook. I have a number of Facebook friends from my home church, so I wonder if that photo ruffled any feathers among them...

Well, guess what? Villa won the game 3-1! This only goes to show that all things are possible to him who believes :-)
And this brings me to the title of today's blog entry. Would I be considered a heretic if I had said that God had prompted me to step into the outlet to check out the odds? Or was I hearing the voice of the evil one?
The very next day after the above incident, I was driving my wife to work and listening to a CD on Healing and Financial Breakthroughs. We heard this awesome testimony about a guy who was in dire straits financially and even lost his job in the recent downturn. It would have taken him 2 years to clear his debts. He went to see his pastor for prayer, to which his pastor snapped his fingers and told him that God's timing was better than man's. Just 24 hours later, God not only miraculously cancelled his debt overnight, but provided him so much more that even after settling those debts, he had the means to renovate his house and go to Japan for a holiday! The testimony did not specifically mention that he had struck Toto or 4D, but what was obvious was that the windfall he got was an instantaneous and substantial one. Question: Was this supernatural cancellation of debt from God or from the devil?
On a similar note, a fellow church member also shared with me that he was given 6 numbers in a dream, but because of his Methodist upbringing, he dismissed it as not from the Lord. That same week, those very 6 numbers were drawn in that very week's Toto! Question: Was the vision given by God or by the devil?
Which brings me back to what I blogged about in March 2009 about provisions and channels. If we ask God to prosper us, do we also dictate the way He is to do so because of our religious upbringing? Elijah lived during the Mosaic covenant and was taught that ravens were unclean animals. If he had allowed legalistic thoughts about the channel being contaminated to clought his mind, he would have missed out on God's provision for him.
What are your thoughts on this? Please comment...

You Want Revival? Here's How...
Sunday, 23rd August 2009
Many churches around the world are experiencing stagnation and would like to see a revival in their congregation.
Well, there are two sure ways to cause a revival.
The first way is to preach the grace gospel unashamedly and radically. Paul says that he is not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it is the power of God unto the salvation of man (Rom 1:16). That is why we see churches like NewCre experiencing radical and phenomenal growth.
The second way is to preach the law, and in particular, the keeping of the Ten Commandments. You will likewise see a great "revival"... but this time around... it is of sin.
Before you shout "Heresy!", may I refer to the following passage found in Rom 7
7 For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "Do not covet."
8But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire. For apart from law, sin is dead.
9Once I was alive apart from law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.
10I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death.
Paul said that he would not have not what was covetousness until he was taught "You shall not covet", and that his sinful passions were aroused by the law (Rom 7:5).
Before his Damascus experience, he was a Pharisee who knew every single one of God's laws inside out. Yet, because back then he did not yet have the revelation of what Christ had done for him, he ended up futilely struggling to keep these laws and found that he ended up doing the things he was not supposed to and not doing things he was supposed to (Rom 7:15-20).
He only realised how deadly the law was after his conversion, and that is why he said that "the strength of sin is the law" in 1 Cor 15:58 and called it "the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones" in 2 Cor 3:7.
I had lunch with a fellow grace-believing brother three days ago, and he brought my attention to an article entitled "Do We Need the Ten Commandments? written by the senior pastor of a megachurch in Singapore. (I have extended courtesy in not naming this particular pastor because to his credit, he also extended courtesy in his article in not naming a pastor of another megachurch when making reference to him).
Well, the answer to that is it all depends.
On the one hand, if we want to live the victorious zoe life that Jesus has come to give, the answer to that is no, because in the New Covenant, God writes His commandments in our hearts, and not on stone.
On the other hand, if we want to experience what Paul experienced in struggling with the very sins that the law was supposed to help us to deal with, then go ahead and hold on to those Ten Commandments.
After all, God gives all of us free will.
As for me and my household, I choose the former.
As for that megachurch pastor, your intentions may have been good, but the approach is wrong. You should be exalting Christ of the New Covenant rather than the Mosaic Law of the Old. If you see a great "revival" in your congregation, please do not be surprised and blame God for it later on.

Ganbatte ガンバッテ !!
Saturday, 22 August 2009
Every Saturday, my whole family will visit my inlaws' home to have dinner there. The television will always be switched on to Channel 8. About six months
ago, I happened to notice an interesting scene that was showing and so continued to watch on. Ever since then, I have been "hooked" onto what turns out to be a mega-episode Taiwanese serial called 爱. Whenever I buy 8Days on Mondays, the first page I would turn to is the synopsis of the upcoming episodes of that serial.
Anyway, starring in the show is this particular character called Song Yi Ting who has been diagnosed with bone cancer and confined to a wheelchair. Her good friend Luo An Ping buys her a brown poodle to keep her company and calls it Ganbatte (which is Japanese for "be encouraged, press on, keep it up, stay strong" etc). In Mandarin, it is being translated as 加油 or to "add oil".
Which brings me to the topic I want to blog about today and to give thanks to God for.
Exactly 3 months ago, I blogged about moving into the palace. I now sit at one end of the area while the Head of Marketing, Asia (let's call him W) sits at the other end. In other words, anyone who wants to enter the palace will either have to pass by my room or his room.
Why is this significant? I'll come to that in a moment...
When I first moved into the palace on 21 May 2009, there was this other guy (let's call him P) who moved into the room next to mine. My room tends to get a bit messy (to put it mildly) after a while and he was one of several that commented on its state of progressive untidiness.
And so, yesterday morning while I was on leave to play chauffeur to my son (who was sitting for his PSLE oral exams), my secretary took the opportunity to do a major spring cleaning. When I came back to work in the afternoon, the room was neat and tidy, and so I invited P in to come and take a look.

He was impressed but what caught his eye was the tiny little bottle of anointing oil that was being placed at the foot of the cross!!!
[Others would have noticed the "bread" and "wine" and that gives me the opportunity to explain to them why I have not taken medical leave for the longest time, of which I blogged about here.]
P mentioned that W has been applying the oil, and thus asked me what its significance was. You see, W is also from NewCre!!!
Anyway, I saw that as a divine appointment and I thus shared with P about how Christianity is not about rules and regulations but about enjoying life to the fullest as a result of being favoured by our Creator God.
I keep a set of Ps Prince's CD albums and DVDs in my room and I was led by the Lord to lend him Humorous Bible Illustrations (that's the one that I had given out during Xmas last year and the very same one that Rev Peter Koh has banned from my church because he considers the contents inappropriate). My reason for doing so is because the excerpts are bite-sized yet contain deep spiritual truths, and someone like P (who is a Catholic, by the way) will be able to appreciate the humour therein).
The first thing that P commented when he saw the back of the DVD is that Ps Prince looks like a rockstar. Well, my prayer is that after P starts watching the first clip, he will keep wanting to watch the next one and then the next one after that. The seed sown will cause him to also catch the grace message and he will start to borrow all the other CDs and DVDs to listen to and watch, just like my own spiritual journey experience in my previous company.
And so, please join me in declaring ganbatte! Let's press on! Let's add oil! Amen?

A Family Affair
Friday, 21st August 2009

This evening, my wifey, kiddos and I went to AMKHub for dinner at Fish & Co, and to catch a movie.
My kiddos had a Fish and Chips each, while my wifey and I shared a Platter For One (pictured on the right).
The tickets to the 7:35pm were all sold out, so we had to hang around the mall for the 9:45pm show.
To pass the time, we went to Fairprice Express to do some shopping, followed by some ice-cream and dessert at Ministry of Food. We had the sesame sundae (pictured on the right) and sesame with red bean paste. They were delicious.
The movie entitled "The Proposal" starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds (pictured on the right) was also very enjoyable. Highly-recommended :-)
All in all, it was a blessed time. Thank you Lord. May we have more family affairs together.

Wherever God Places You, That's Your Field
Sunday, 16th August 2009
I have mentioned on my blog before that I am deeply entrenched in the music of the 1980s because I grew up on music from that era as a teenager. Last year, during the 25th year reunion of my Sec 4 cohort, I was given the privilege of providing the music and you guessed it -- it was music from the likes of Aha, Duran Duran, Wang Chung and Yazoo that filled the airwaves. You can read about that reunion here.
Anyway, one of the songs that hit the top of the UK secular chart back then was a song called "Wherever I Lay My Hat, That's My Home" by Paul Young. I felt a bit disturbed by the lyrics of the song because it talks about a guy who is not committed to a relationship but goes about sowing his wild oats.
But that's not the topic of today's post. Rather it is about missions.
My own home church has dedicated the whole month of August 2009 as Missions Month. I used to have the impression that mission work means giving up one's comfortable lifestyle and going to a remote country to preach Jesus. As a result, I remember when I was an undergraduate, I would hold in very high regard those who were willing to sacrifice their future career to go into full-time ministry as a missionary or pastor.
However, I now know for a fact that there is no such thing as a part-time Christian. In fact, we are all in full-time ministry, so to speak. That native in Central Africa is in need of the good news of Jesus Christ just as much as that colleague in your office, or that classmate in your tutorial group, or that platoon mate in your camp. Missions and evangelism is for every single one of us who call ourselves Christians.
In other words, wherever God has placed us, that is where our mission field is supposed to be. We are to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Each day, He will put divine appointments into our calendar for us. They become fabulous opportunites for us to sow the seed of the message of His love and grace into the ground of the heart of those that we come into contact with. I thank God for every privilege and honour to share my testimony and faith journey with those He has placed around me.
I know that even those out there in cyberspace that happen to stumble across this blog is also not by chance but a God-incidence. In fact, that is how I got to know Cyberanger, Angie, Jeff, Stan, Geri, Maurice, Joshen, just to name but a few. Many of us meet up at Stan's place every now and then and I invite others out there to join us for fellowship as well since that is what Heb 10:24-25 encourages us to do. You can start by joining our Grace United Facebook Group.
Paul Young may have sung "wherever I lay my hat, that's my home", but our version is that "wherever God places me, that's my field". Amen?

These are PDF files that are recommended because they make very edifying reading and the feeding of one's spirit man.
1. A Review of Mt Sinai Resources
The author "reviews" six "fictional" "law-based" "books" with "titles" such as "The Wrath of a Righteous God" and "Salvation is NOT guaranteed" that can be found in a fictional bookstore known as Mt Sinai bookstore, and in doing so attempts to debunk the wrong impression some believers may have of Daddy God as a result of listening to legalistic messages that unfortunately have quoted parts of Scripture out of context.
2. Destined to Reign - Methodist Review and Response
This article consist of 2 parts: The first part is a review of Ps Joseph Prince's book that was done by a Methodist theologician. The second part is a response to that review by another Methodist who testifies how his life has been radically transformed after embracing the gospel of grace.
3. Having It All Is Not Enough
Read about how former MediaCorp actress Jacelyn Tay, who was previously deeply entrenched in Buddhism, came to embrace Christianity.
4. Logical Christian Responds to Antinomian Article
Read how Stan Wong skillfully uses Scripture to respond to an article that was written by a theologian in USA (and later on plagiarised by the senior pastor of one of the top 20 biggest churches in Singapore) that accuses grace-based churches such as New Creation Church of being antinomian.
5. Questionable "Questionable" Teachings
Read how Stan Wong again uses Scripture to respond to an article that was written by yet another theologian (who is the senior pastor of what is currently the largest church in Singapore) about whether what the latter considered to be questionable teachings are indeed questionable. Very thought-provoking.
6/7. The Holidays of God -- The Fall and Spring Feasts
Read about the Passover, Pentecost and other Jewish feasts and what they mean to us today as Christians. An excellent unveiling of what Christ has done for us.

Extending the Sabbatical
Friday, 14th August 2009
Sometime last year, I wrote a letter to the pastor in charge of my church informing him that I would be taking a sabbatical and not to send me my pledge card since I would be sowing into other ministries. You can read the contents of that letter here.
Well, not only did I still receive my pledge card last year but this year as well.
Anyway, I felt led to write him another letter, which I reproduce in full below:
1 August 2009
Rev Peter Koh
Pastor-in-charge
Paya Lebar Methodist Church
Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I refer to the letter which I sent you last year with regards to my sabbatical.
Having served in the LCEC before, I understand that my church has to give to TRAC $395 annually for each member on her roll, and so I enclose a cheque of $400 to cover this cost (like what I did last year as well). Please do not treat this as a pledge or an offering but simply an obligation on my part to at least ensure that my church is not out-of-pocket as a result of keeping me on her roll. Meanwhile, my tithes and offerings are being channelled to other more worthwhile ministries and sown into fertile soil that the Lord has placed in my heart.
Just in case you are worried about the lack of spiritual coverage upon me, I am very pleased to inform you that God Himself, the Good Shepherd, has been the One providing that. My wife and I have been attending New Creation Church and coming back to PLMC whenever Ps Reuben Ng preaches. As a result of feeding on grace-filled messages, my opinion of Daddy God has gotten better and better. We have also grown in the knowledge of Jesus His Son and what His finished work has accomplished for us as beneficiaries of the New Covenant of grace.
As a result of knowing our position and identity in Christ, we have unashamedly claimed all of Daddy God's promises for us which are yes and amen, and trusted Him to bless us exceedingly abundantly over and above what we can ask or imagine. In particular, Daddy God has really prospered my career and granted me extremely undeserved favour with my bosses.
Although there is an economic downturn out there, this has not only not affected me. On the contrary, Daddy God has caused me to have the means to tithe up to 3 times more than what I used to! In fact, Last December, on my 41st birthday, He allowed me to proclaim "(B)ehold (M)y (W)agon" by blessing me with an X5.
By the way, I do not hold any more hard feelings against you for removing me from leadership or for giving my name to the police in connection with that vandalism case. Neither do I expect any form of apology from you any longer. That is because Daddy God has so blessed and prospered me and filled my heart with so much joy and gratitude that whatever you did pales in comparison and does not matter to me anymore. What men may have meant for harm, Daddy God has turned it for good, and I stand here today as a living testimony to that.
My prayer is that when you hear testimonies like these, Daddy God will gradually reveal to you the reality of the grace message and transform the way you view Him as well.
Also, that invitation that I extended to you in January 2007 to take you out to lunch still holds. Please do let me know when you will be free to meet up.
Yours-in-Christ

Pet Project
Monday, 10th August 2009
I want to thank the Lord for the super long weekend holiday, as it gave me ample time to embark on this pet project to commemorate my darling wifey's 40th birthday (which falls on Teacher's Day by the way).
Shutterfly is a website that allows one to create customisable printed photo albums.
It takes about two to three weeks for the album to be delivered from the USA, so hopefully it will arrive in time...

The Elements to Remaining Healthy
Saturday, 8th August 2009
It is already the 8th month of the year 2009 and so far this year, I have not taken a single day of medical leave. In fact, I seriously cannot recall the last time I actually fell ill. For that, I want to give thanks and praise to Almighty God :-)
Colleagues have wondered how this is possible, especially with the recent H1N1 outbreak and hazy atmostphere.
Well. the elements to remaining healthy is pretty elementary.
Those same colleagues of mine have also noticed a box of "low-fat biscuits" and a bottle of Ribena grape cordial in my room.
Therein lies the secret :-)
The "low-fat biscuits" are actually matzah bread that can be bought from Jasons supermarket.
I have been taking the elements of the Lord's Supper on practically a daily basis and confessing His divine health and wholeness upon myself.
Hallelujah!
For a more detailed account of what the above pertains, please read this entry entitled "The Health Gospel"

Sun Moon and Stars Fellowship
Friday, 7th August 2009
On the morning of Tuesday 4th August, I took leave to have breakfast with fellow members of Grace United (previously known as the "tau suan fellowship").
When I got back to the office just before 2pm, my CFO boss asked me what I did that morning. When I told him what transpired, he expressed shock that breakfast would take up the entire morning! Well, when we gather together to share about what the Lord God has been doing in our lives, even one morning is not enough. Amen?

The following items were given out to those who were present:
(1) Sun --> Ps Reuben's TFFS (because the sermons are full of the Sun of Righteousness)
- Do read also Stan's blog entry about "Catching the Sun"
(2) Moon & Stars --> the Singapore flag (which has a crescent moon and 5 stars)
Hence, "Sun, Moon and Stars" Fellowship :-)

It was also Grace United's first anniversary, while Stan's mom's birthday also happens to be on 8th August. Angie was so kind as to provide a delicious cake for all of us.
Here is a picture of us just before we wolved it down. From left to right clockwise, that's yours truly, Maurice, Stan's mom, Kat, Sarah, Angie, Stan, Jeff and Justin.
For those of you who could not join us this time around, do join us for the next one. Updates will be posted onto the Grace United Facebook Group.

Cross Referencing All The Way
Sunday, 2nd August 2009
One of the results of listening to the grace gospel is that I have started to rightly divide the word of truth. A fellow brother used the term "cross-referencing", viz everything in the scriptures should be read with reference being made to the cross.
For example, there is a passage in the Old Testament that says "The fathers have eaten sour grapes and the children's teeth are set on edge" (Jer 31: 29). Some preachers would quote this verse to support their view that generational curses is biblical, since the action of the parents (drinking vinegar) would have consequences on their children (leaving the bitter taste in the mouth).
But these preachers have done the Body of Christ a disservice because they have failed to do a proper cross-referencing. In the New Testament, we read of Jesus asking to drink vinegar while He hung on the cross (Jn 19:29-30). By doing so, He set His own teeth on edge, so that ours will not be. In other words, there are no more generational curses for the New Covenant believer because Jesus took those curses upon Himself. Hallelujah!
Another benefit of embracing the grace gospel is that I have begun to understand that the Old Testament contains types and shadows, the substance of which can be found in the New Testament. As a Methodist growing up, I seldom, if at all, heard any sermon containing such typologies. The stories in the Old Testament about Moses or David or Jonah were just mere chronicles of events that happened in history to a nation that had no direct relevance on me.
It was only after listening to sermons rich in typologies such as The Love Secret of the High Priest's Garments and The Benjamin Generation that the spiritual scales started to fall from my eyes. Suddenly, dry and boring passages in Leviticus and Deuteronomy come alive because they contain hidden treasures that point to the person of Jesus and His finished work. Prov 25:2 tells us that "it is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search it out". Amen?
Those who have been following my blog realise that New Creation Church is not the only church to have an anointed pastor. Right here in my own kampong church -- Paya Lebar Methodist Church -- God has also raised an anointed preacher who always unveils Jesus in all his sermons. I was at our youth service two weeks ago and noticed that attendance at the PLMGSS auditorium (where the service is held) was nearing its sitting capacity of 500 already! At this rate of growth, a second youth service may have to be conducted :-)
Last week, Ps Reuben preached at the main adult service. His sermon was entitled "All The Way" and it was full of typologies!!! The sermon texts were the parts in Exodus where Moses was negotiating with Pharaoh the release of the Israelites. (Ex 8:25,28,10:10,11,24).
Ps Reuben did a "cross-referencing" whereby Moses is a type of Christ (as our deliverer), Egypt is a type of our previous condition (as slaves) and Pharaoh is a type of the enemy (the one that had us in bondage).
From the passages above, Ps Reuben uncovered 4 strategies that the evil one uses to make us compromise and not go "all the way" -- hence the sermon title "All The Way".
I have never heard anyone preach on the conversation that Moses had with Pharaoh in the light of the New Covenant before, so it is a real honour that God had chosen Ps Reuben to be His messenger boy in this particular instance.

Time For Another Giveaway!
Saturday, 1st August 2009
Dearest subscribers of ROOTSS

It's the month of August again, and time for yet another giveaway :-D
In August 2007, it was copies of Ps Joseph Prince's "Destined to Reign" (D2R).
In August 2008, it was copies of Ps Joseph Prince's "Destined to Reign Devotional" (D2RD).
In the past, there have been people who had accused me of idolising Ps Prince.
Not any more, after they realise that I also listen to other preachers who never fail to either remind us of the unconditional love of Daddy God or unveil the person of Jesus and His finished work, or both, in their messages. This is what true feeding of the sheep is because it causes us to grow in our relationship with the Triune God.
One such other preacher is Ps Reuben Ng, who is currently the youth pastor in my home church, Paya Lebar Methodist Church.

For this year, the giveaway will be of Ps Reub's "The First Fifty Sermons" (TFFS), a jubilee MP3 collection of his first 50 sermons ever since he was posted to us back in August 2007.
Of the 50 sermons, my personal favourite has to be #24, the one entitled "Gospel Vs A Different Gospel" based on Gal 1. It is a radical message that truly resonates with one's spirit man :-D
A first giveaway of 15 copies of TFFS will take place at the Grace United "Sun, Moon and Stars" Fellowship Breakfast, which is being held as follows:
Date: Tuesday, 4th August 2009
Time: 9am to 11am
Venue: Dessert Tree, Bukit Timah Food Centre (aka Stan's stall)
See you then!
P.S. The sermons can also be downloaded at the following link:
http://www.box.net/shared/uzrv6pnyo8
Please note however that the files stored on Box.net were ripped at a bitrate of 16mbps so as to keep them small.
Those found on the DVD disc to be given away were ripped at a bitrate of 128mbps so the sound quality is clearer.
