This article appeared on the front page of the 10th March 2009 edition of myPaper, which is a local bilingual daily.
The headline read "$19m in the kitty in less than 24 hours", which talks about what happened during the recent Miracle Seed Sunday.

Well, there were also non-members amongst the 21,343 who purposefully went to attend that service with the specific intention of sowing into One-North :-D
That Sunday, even though Ps Reuben was preaching at the Youth Service in my own church, my wife and I felt led by the Holy Spirit to be at Suntec.
Raising $18.8m during a time of plenty is already quite a feat. To do so during a time of financial meltdown is something supernatural, and God gets the glory.
Getting a BMW X5 is already a wonderful blessing. But to do so during the current climate is something supernatural, and I give Jesus all the praise, worship and glory. Hallelujah!
Just like how God prospered Isaac during a time of famine and the Philistines envied him (Gen 26:14), may God continue to prosper New Creation Church so that she becomes the envy of the Philistines of today, and ultimately discover the grace message for themselves. Amen?

Amen brother!
This article created a mini frenzy online; the world just cannot understand...
Thanks for putting the 2 write-outs togther, will link back.
This coming Sunday's service maybe interesting... *wink*
She is already the envy of the Philistines. This act of sowing is really a miracle. Even the press cannot deny it.
Amen!
JP mentioned in one of his sermons recently ... all these blessings are sure to come with persecutions ... it would arouse jeslousy and gossips ...
What these people fail to understand is, build One North or not, we are paying very high rent to Suntec City Mall, and these rentals made others very rich ... so these people are very short sighted to forget that why they buy their apartments and not rent????
The inconvenience was very evident on Sunday during the IT fair .... me & my family had problem going for service ... we ended up at Marina and due to the rain, we were unable to cross the overhead bridge as it was JAM - standstill ... as my wife just had an operation, I decided against squeezing in the crowd, while also looking after my son ... it's frustrating!

Thank God for One North.I think it's the talk of the town among pastors and churches. One thing I think we need to caution though is that sowing into One North is not a Get Rich Quick Scheme.
We sow out of response of God's love and grace.Paul said that if our sacrifice is not motivated by the love of God it profit us nothing.
As for the -ve comments, Jesus said, "The poor you will always have with you. Let the dead bury the dead."
A man of God once said something to this effect, "If you stand head and shoulders above the rest in a crowd, there will be those who will want to chop off your head."
Whenever a minister or ministry does well, there will always be persecution -- from within the church. How sad.
