Logical and Anointed Responses

Sunday, 26th April 2009

Having now firmly established that the term "touching the Lord's anointed" has been misquoted especially by pastors who are not secure about their own ministry, I would like to recommend to you dear readers the blog of fellow Best Christian Blog of the Year awardee Stanley Wong. He was given the award after just 2 1/2 months, probably because of the great reservoir of potential therein.

I had dinner with some churchmates recently and they were amazed to find out that Stan is not a theologian. They had read the wonderful point-by-point rebuttal that he did in response to the article that appeared in my church's newsletter entitled "Salvation Made Easy - A Look into Antiomianism" that was purported written by Rev Peter Koh, the senior pastor of my church. You can download to read them at the following links:

Stan's response

Stan has now embarked on responding to an article that was written by Rev Kong Hee of City Harvest Church which appeared recently in sg.Christianpost.com

Stan's response (akan datang)

Stanley's response to the article is currently still ongoing, so you can check them out on his blog in the meantime. Once he has completed it, I will compile in into a PDF document, so that you can likewise be able to have a systematic and anointed response to those who are against the grace message.

Rev Kong's article was Nov 2001 ... that's almost 8 years ago, I wonder if he would like to do some editing before publishing again ...

Actually why is the body of Christ attacking each other like that? Is it really out of good intentions or there's a hidden agenda? Sometimes I feel that they shortchanged themselves ... their theory or theology dun seems to hold water leh ...

I just hope all these "accusations" dun end up like the AWARE saga ...

Sometimes I wonder, do these men believe that God is still in charged? or is it God need these men to help Him steady the boat?

Rom 5:13 and 2 Cor 5:19 about sin not imputed when there is no law and God not imputing the world's sins against them is a big puzzle to the church today and preachers are still bringing up the sin and law issue that was alreday deealt with at the cross 2000 years ago for believers. They didn't know what was FINISHED at the finished work of the cross.Col 2:14

Although this article was written in Nov 2001 actually the writer is 2000 years behind time.

At the heart of the issue is that if you attack somebody's belief, you're gonna get bombarded. People just get offended or "pissed off" when you tell them that what they believe in is wrong. This applies not only to other religions but also to denominations within each religion.

In nearly 6000 yrs since creation,2500 yrs from the fall to Moses,1500 yrs from Moses to Jesus and 2000 yrs from Jesus until now, only 1500 yrs was man under the dispensation of law.

Yet today,Christians fight for the law and want sin to be imputed to them.Rom 5:13,Gal 3:24-25.

Yes Anonymous,

I agree with you.

Yep, Jeff.

Indeed, Rev Kong Hee is writing as though the cross did not take place.

Mal,

He simply does't understand and know how to divide the word of truth.Difference between old and new covenant.

He talks about what we must do about sin instead of about what Christ DID about sin.

It was David's brokeness in the old covenant that God did not despise but it was Jesus brokeness at the cross that God delight in us bcoz His brokeness made us whole.Ps 51:17, 1 Cor 11:24

Religion use the law as a standard that they cannot keep.Jesus is our standard and our righteousness and we are perfect and complete in Him. Col 2:10,2 Cor 5:21
