There are some out there who accuse me of idolising Pastor Prince.
Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't.
I idolise the one that he preaches so strongly about -- and that is the person of Jesus Christ.
I have also been accused of promoting an NCC pastor to PLMC members.
Buzz! Sorry wrong again.

If you have been following my blog, I have oftentimes also been promoting a particular PLMC pastor to NCC members.
His name is Ps Reuben Ng and his sermons are equally-anointed because Jesus is also central in all his messages.
In fact, I have set up a blog to deposit his collection of sermons. I have also purchased all the sermons that he has preached so far, and established another library of anointed messages.
There is this particular subscriber of ROOTSS who is from NCC. He had requested that I passed him Ps Reuben's sermons and the feedback given was that he was very ministered to.
There is another striking similar between Ps Reuben and Ps
Prince, and that is they preach without needing to read from a prepared script. It is because the Holy Spirit is the One that leads and prompts them on what to say next. I will be recording one of his sermons in the near future to upload to YouTube so that you can see what I mean.Ps Reuben just entered the ministry in Aug 2007 and PLMC is his first posting. At the rate that God is using him to transform lives, I am sure than in less than 10 years' time, he is going to be preaching to hundreds of thousands as well. Amen?

Hey Malcolm, I sooooo know what you mean.
I think my parents and some friends have that same thought about those of us in NCC. Haha.
I also want to state it clearly that I dun idolize Ps Prince, and like you, I have really come to love my LORD and Servant King more and more under his teachings (that come NOT from his own wisdom, but because like us, he has the mind of Christ).
His message is Holy Spirit anointed and may we never think that it comes from his smarts or attribute glory to him but to HIM -our Heavenly Abba.
I also listen a lot to Joyce Meyer and read other anointed pastors as well as the BIBLE itself, so my growing understanding rests on the revelation of the Holy Spirit - not some "cultish blind following of one man" as some ppl might assume.
Pastor Prince himself always makes it a point to attribute all glory to Christ and to remind his church members that it is not about him but about Jesus.
Besides Pastor Prince, the rest of the pastors are also very anointed. Pastor Mark, Pastor Matthew, Pastor Gabriel, Pastor Lian, Pastor Chin - having heard them all preach before, it is clear that they are very anointed too. They each have their own style, and they each get God's love and the grace of Christ across into the hearts of the people.
Another thing I notice other Christians always feel uncomfy about is that NCC-ers love to call God our Heavenly Daddy. I used to feel uncomfy too because it is so affectionate... and that's a big clue isn't it?
The devil wants us to be distant from God. When the devil spoke to Christ, he said if you are the son of God, completely obliterating the use of BELOVED SON OF GOD, because he wanted Jesus to forget who He is.
So who are we? We are the BELOVED sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father... The Jews say Abba and it does mean DADDY to them. So why can't we be affectionate too and call Him our Heavenly Daddy, our Heavenly Papa? =)
When we call our Dad "Father" it sounds so distant and cold... I call mine "Daddy" or "Papa". My hubby calls his "Dad". The only people I know who have addressed their Dads as Father are those who have never been very close to their Dads from young.
When you allow yourself to be affectionate to God, it opens your heart to accept His love and affections for you. =) That is my most honest opinion.
So sorry that my comment is so long ha ha... got carried away.
BTW, I've FINALLY heard Ps Reuben's sermons on your blog. They are really good and touched my immensely. I will be sending the links to my NCC friends too!
I am glad that Daddy God has risen up a grace-filled pastor to minister to PLMC. May he unlock the hearts of the brothers and sisters there. =D All glory to Jesus! =D
Hi Geri
You should listen to his sermon entitled "Gospel vs A Different Gospel" based on Gal 1.
When I first heard it, it blew my mind. Talk about radical preaching :-)
Hi Malcolm,
When I discovered your blog 2 months ago on 28 May, one of the things that caught my attention was your collection of Pastor Reuben's sermon.
In my first comment on your blog that night (posted on your blog dated 25 May 08),
I wrote:
Just wonder why you bother to put up all the sermons by Pastor Reuben Ng on your blog. Just curious to know. Hope you can tell me. (Remember??)
Like you, I also enjoy listening to Ps. Reuben’s anointed sermons.
Thank you for putting them up.
Hi Mal,
I mentioned before that I am so into the grace gospel (it is THE gospel but to distinguish it from "a different gospel", I shall call it the grace gospel) because it gels the whole bible together - the OT and NT blends into a whole story instead of contradicting each other.
When different preachers preach the grace gospel, their sermons also gel - they do not contradict each other. I have heard Pastor Aage and Pastor Peter Youngren preach and their sermons blend with each other's and PP's sermons - like weaving a single piece of tapestry.
Without a doubt, Pastor Prince is an entertaining preacher. However, it must be noted that he is just a messenger for God (PP himself has said quite a few times in his sermons that he is just a delivery boy). It is the message, the gospel that PP is preaching that is changing lives but so much the better if the message is put across in an interesting manner.
Likewise, the gospel that Pastor Reuben is preaching will also impact many lives.
Praise the Lord.
It's Gospel Revolution :)
Shalom brothers and sisters,
AMEN!!!
So many people need to hear the gospel of grace that will free them to see God's love for them.
I remember how absolutely conned I was by the devil before I came to New Creation.
I was a total "sucker" for punishment - gladly wallowing in the pit the devil prepared for me and falling deeper into it. Legalism bound me with its chains to guilt, condemnation and depression.
Like PP said, the pulpit can pull people out of the pit or push them deeper into the pit - I am glad I now sit under grace-filled teaching. =D Pulled and lifted up into the Light.
I agree with Stanley - listening to many grace-filled sermons by various anointed pastors helps me see how Holy Spirit-inspired it all is. They do weave seamlessly together because there is one thread - the Holy Spirit, the grace of Christ, the love of our Abba... =D
May we all be salty for this world, to make them thirst for the same living water we draw from.
God bless,
Geri
Ya, it's always easy to idolize people who command the spirit and confidence. But beyond that, lies the real maker of success, our dear Jesus. Rather than 'idolize', perhaps it's admiration at the truths God shares with Ps Prince. Having Jesus-centric sermons are important, and I've heard of so many famous preachers, and their sermons are always either motivational, or God and Jesus isn't glorified. Some get all technical about analysing the gospels, others focus on taking life lessons from the behavior of a 'should be' christian from references from the bible. While it can be refreshing to have an occassional encouraging listen when we're down, which is so and so's preacher's gift, Ps prince is gifted in revelational truths pertaining the person of Jesus and esp in the grace area.
Why I love NCC is because they don't go over the top with looking religious. They go with a spirit of 'I'm here to unveil/absorb/partake/suck sermons out of Ps Prince'. And NCC isn't afraid to smile and be relaxed, esp since it's a big church, and Singaporeans are notorious for having a 'not my business' poker face all the time. God has changed our hearts, that's why we love Him. I guess it's the same with sheep recognizing a quality food from an anoited shepherd. God probably raised Ps Prince into this preacher that will radically transform Singaporeans and have messages that break right through barriers into our hearts. It probably doesn't matter who tells it to us, but charismatics aren't called that for no reason.
:)
