Yes, there is no typo in the title of today's blog.
It is not Ole! Ole! Ole! Ole! Ole! Ole!, which is what one might hear being sung at football stadiums,
It is actually the word ONE, repeated the seven times as it appears in the passage Ephesians 4:4-6
Ephesians 4:4-6
4There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling;
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.
Which goes to show the emphasis that Paul puts on the need for all of us as believers to be united.
In fact, just two days ago, we had our regular weekly fellowship at work, and unity was one of the topics of discussion. I happen to bring up the incident that Rev Wee Boon Hup mentioned about the leaders of the 2 largest churches in Singapore not speaking to one another.
Well guess what? Something happened that really moved my heart. A brother who is a member of one of the 2 churches shook hands with another brother who is a member of the other church!
Now let's pray that the pastors and leaders of these 2 churches would follow suit. Together, both churches with a combined attendance of close to 40,000 can make a great difference to Singapore's population of 4 million.
Let's hold on to that faith vision of oneness!
