Mega- and Prominent Churches in Singapore

Several days ago, I blogged about how I had googled myself.

Well, this time around, I decided to google "Rev Peter Koh" (the senior pastor of my church and the "author" of the article entitled Salvation Made Easy? A Look into Antinomianism) to see if links to Stanley's and my blog would be returned, and sure enough, they were, since the "hot topic" at present is "antinomianism" :-D

For those of you not from PLMC who want to know a litte bit more about him, here is a write-up that appeared in the 8 Jan 2006 edition of Heartbeat, which is a handout that my church publishes every fortnightly/monthly to be given out by the ushers.

Rev Koh had just been assigned to my church then, so may yours truly, as a member of PLMC for the last 40 years, have the honour and privilege to wish him a "Happy 3rd anniversary in PLMC".

I am digressing here, so back to the title of today's post.

What I found interesting amongst the results that Google returned was a link to a Wikipedia entry entitled "Megachurches in Singapore"!

Seems like the church of which I am a member of is actually one of the 20 largest churches here in Singapore with a current membership of about 2,400. It is also the 2nd largest Methodist church, Wesley being the largest with a membership of about 5,000.
