A Change of Heart

Just last week, my mom told me something that shows that she has a change of heart.

When news first broke that Pastor B was leaving us, she was extremely upset and gave the TRAC President an earful during our 75th Anniversary. I told her that Rev Wee would not do anything to harm his own home church.

Well, having heard a couple of Pastor Reuben's sermons, and the one entitled "The Hinge" in particular, she commented that he is an excellent and wonderful preacher, and finally came to acknowledge that Rev Wee had the interest of PLMC in mind when he moved Pastor B out and moved Pastor Reuben in.

There has been a change of heart for at least 2 groups of people here in PLMC:

(1) People like my mom who were endeared to Pastor B has learnt to accept the changes, move on, and now embrace our new pastor.
(2) People like me who embrace grace teachings are willing to remain in PLMC because we are at least being fed the right kind of spiritual food every now and then.

God has no favourites. NCC may have Pastor Prince, but PLMC has Pastor Reuben -- and both men are equally anointed!

His latest sermon "The Hinge" caused me not only to shed tears, but to sob uncontrollably (in church, no less, so shy hor?) because it speaks of the extent of the love of Abba Father for us.

Towards the end of that sermon, Pastor Reuben quoted something that our senior pastor said that was quite profound, "Jesus' work is finished, but ours isn't" -- which will be the subject matter of tomorrow's entry, so stay tuned :-)
