The title of today's post is actually the name of a song by rock band Fall Out Boy. They have deliberatly dropped the vowels from the phrase "thanks for the memories", leaving behind only the consonants.
Anyway, we had what we called a "BarneyLor" farewell on 29 July 2007, to thank Pastors Barnabas and Loretta for their faithful service in PLMC, and to send them off to Cairnhill and Living Waters Methodist Churches respectively.
Here are but 2 highlights of that evening:
1. Jimmy Leong from the band testified about the impact that Pastor B has had on his life, and we moved into a time of worship by singing Great God, the theme song for our Ohana Camp. Perhaps this can be considered another evo of the song, because it was sung with great gusto by the people, as a rousing tribute and finale to its composer.
2. Pastor B also made a great impact on the children. Here is the Silver Boxes' choir expressing how they felt about the one overseeing their ministry.
Thks fr th mmrs, Pastor B and Loretta, and may the LORD bless your ministries in ACSJ and ACSI!
