Christ's Work is Finished, but Ours is Not

Every Tuesday night, my church holds what is called "WIN" - Worship & Intercession Night".

At one of the WIN sessions, our pastor-in-charge ("PIC") said something very profound - "Christ's work is finished, but ours is not".

As I reflected upon this, I realise what he said is true. While we are here on earth, we have a Great Commission to carry out -- to make disciples of all nations (Matt 28:19).

The time for us to leave this side of heaven is only after we have fought the good fight and finished the race (2 Tim 4:7).

Meanwhile, where we have been placed, let's make a difference and be the salt of the earth and light of the world. Let's be Christ's ambassadors (2 Cor 5:20) and witnesses (Acts 1:8).

This reminder from PIC is most timely, given that our 3L cluster will be holding an outreach event on Saturday, 17 November 2007 at the Haven at 5pm. And our keynote speaker is none other than the PIC himself :-)

There will also be an Evangelistic Equipping-cum-Prayer session on Friday, 2 November at 8pm at the Conference Room, where our cluster leaders Sunny and Yeok Ming will share some outreach "tips" and also for us to corporately cover the upcoming event in prayer.
